The gardens and terraces are an enchanting feature of this 3 storey cottage, which is perched above Long Preston Beck next to the bridge, with views over the open fields of the Ribble Valley around it. The cottage is a thoughtful blend of old world charm with its thick stone walls, beams and old brick fireplace, blending effortlessly with modern country style.

Bridgend Cottage is the end cottage of a neat terrace of 4 cottages at the southern fringe of Long Preston, a thriving village between Settle and Skipton, and the nearby Pendle Hill. A short walk on good footpaths takes you into the centre of the village with its two pubs, the village green, village post office, store and tea shop and the original Rohan travel and outdoor gear shop.

The cottage is perfectly situated to explore the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, the Ribble Valley with its wetlands and the stunning Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

ACCOMMODATION
Follow the short cobbled footpath to the cottage and its York stone flagged south facing front garden. You enter the cottage through the front door into the spacious, relaxing living room with its two large leather settees, wooden floors and stone fireplace with woodburner. A door off the living room takes you into the dining kitchen, with its pretty white painted brick corner fireplace with the second woodburning stove. The well fitted kitchen with its stone floor has the full range of modern appliances and a built in dining area. The kitchen looks out onto the York stone paved courtyard at the back of the cottage with garden furniture and extensive views over Long Preston Beck and its valley. There is a substantial porch with ample boot and coat storage, and original stone sheds in the garden where you will find the log and coal store, and plenty of secure storage for bikes.

On the first floor is the spacious king sized bedroom with TV, the good sized single room and the luxurious bathroom with corner bath, separate shower and more of those views! On the top floor is the beamed, galleried king sized bedroom built into the eaves of the cottage, and again with TV. Whilst this bedroom does not have its own door, it is entirely private, taking up the whole of the top floor of the cottage.

At the side of the cottage and above the beck is a further grassed terrace with its stone bink (the local name for seat), perfect for relaxing at the end of the day with a glass of wine and watching the ducks. Parking is available a few yards away from the cottage or across the road on a grassed area. Young children will need to be supervised because of the proximity to the beck, however both the front and back gardens do have walls and gates so are fully enclosed, and the footpath to the beck is outside the front garden boundary wall and gate.
