This 17th century traditional cottage is just off the village centre, but with fabulous views of both the village, Swaledale and Kisdon beyond. It is owned and cherished by William Calvert and has been a much loved family home for generations.
The cottage nestles within it's original farm buildings and still has its cobbled back yard leading to the garden and hay meadows beyond. There are so many walks in the area that you may never need to use the car.
Beamed ceilings, deepset windows and open fires in both living rooms contribute to the cosy feel of Stockdale. It is ideal for family and friends alike, with the flexibility of a spacious dining kitchen and two living rooms, both with open fires and TV’s.
This is an excellent base to explore the area, whether it be on foot or by car, or just hideaway and relax, whatever the weather or time of year.

You enter the cottage through the front door into a small entrance with the staircase to the first floor. To the right of the front door you enter the cosy sitting room with a comfortable three piece suite, beamed ceiling and open fire.
