3 Winville Mews is a stylish and welcoming holiday cottage tucked away in a quiet mews next to The White Rose Hotel, which was originally Winville House, built by the local Winn family as their country home. It has fabulous views up Wensleydale to the Roman Road striding across Yorburgh Fell above Semerwater.
3 Winville Mews has a beautiful blend of contemporary style and old world charm with all the modern comforts that you would expect in a holiday cottage of this quality. You will recognise fabrics and furnishings including Laura Ashley, Little Greene, Sanderson, Marks and Spencer and many original and local artists. This is a very special holiday home where it would equally make the perfect romantic retreat for just a couple or suit a family or friends looking for somewhere to gather and relax in peace and comfort - perfect!
There is a large sitting room with two comfy settees arranged around the feature fireplace, a cosy dining area, a large entrance porch with an old school bench, handy for storing outdoor gear aplenty, and a beautiful, spacious, shaker style kitchen. Upstairs there is an en-suite king size bedroom with antique style bed, a large twin bedroom and a family bathroom.
Outside there is a paved patio and parking area which has garden furniture and parking for two medium/ small cars or one large car. There is a lockable shed for bike storage. Literally less than a minutes stroll across the courtyard is the beautifully maintained beer garden for The White Rose Hotel and Restaurant.
This is a much loved cottage which has been furnished and decorated with care by the owners, who are regular visitors themselves and passionately want you to enjoy your stay in this lovely, welcoming cottage.
3 Winville Mews has a large entrance porch with ample storage space for coats and boots, off which is the sitting and dining room with a large picture window which floods the cottage with light and lets you make the most of the view across to Yorburgh. There are two very comfortable settees around the feature fireplace with multi fuel stove, a large oak coffee table, a mahogany sideboard and bookcase. Here you will find abundant tourist information and local guide books, along with DVDs, books and games for your entertainment. The dining area has a handmade oak topped dining table with seating for 4. The spacious Shaker Style kitchen, with hand-made tiles has ample storage and is well equipped.
Upstairs there is a fabulous beamed king sized room, with stunning views across the rooftops to the fells beyond, with king sized bed, wardrobe, drawers, bedside tables and flat screen TV. There is a light and airy en-suite shower room with power shower-this bedroom is a real treat. There is a further twin room with wardrobe, bedside tables and drawers, again with that lovely view of the village and Wensleydale. The house bathroom has bath with power shower over, WC, washbasin and mirror above.
Outside there is a paved patio and parking area with garden furniture and which has space to park two small/medium cars in tandem or one large car. There is ample on street parking just a short walk away should it be needed.
This cottage really is a delight tucked away as it is, yet with a birds eye view of the village which is hard to beat. It is ideal as a romantic retreat for couples, yet who want the facilities of Askrigg close to hand, but is spacious enough to easily accommodate four people in comfort.

Designated parking for two small/medium sized cars or one large car with additional on street parking nearby. Oil, coal and electricity included in the rental. Towel hire available. Sorry no smoking allowed inside the cottage. One well behaved pet by prior arrangement.

Towel Hire £5 per person per week or short break.
Pets - £25 per week or short break.
During the winter season (prior to Easter or the end of March and after the end of October) we offer short breaks for 3 nights commencing on Fridays or 4 nights commencing on Mondays, or any combination of 3 and 4 night short breaks, excluding Christmas, and New Year. Christmas, and New Year weeks are also available for a minimum of 7 nights commencing on the day advised in the price list. During the main summer season we offer holidays for 7 nights commencing on Fridays, if a week is not let at short notice we will offer short breaks please check availability and the Late Availability page.
Please note that we charge a Good Housekeeping Deposit of £50 per week or short break, details in the terms and conditions section, the final balance figures include this amount.
If the holiday is booked less than 7 weeks prior to your arrival, then full payment is requested at the time of booking.
Deposits are approximately one third of the total hire charge.
